How to contact a Taiwanese company
First outreach in Taiwan works best when the message is concise, credible and specific about why you are contacting that particular company.
A good first message does not try to solve the whole partnership. Its job is to help the right person quickly understand who you are, why you are contacting them and what the easy next step is.
1. Say who you are and why you are writing
Your company name, your role and one sentence about the need are enough to start. Avoid a generic “we want cooperation” message when you can be more specific about the product, market or partner type.
2. Make the message easy to process
Use a clear subject line, short paragraphs and one primary request. Asking for pricing, samples, a meeting and a distribution agreement all at once can make the first message unnecessarily heavy.
3. Provide the necessary starting information
For a supplier, it usually helps to state the product category, indicative volume or use case and key requirements. For a distributor or partner, explain what your company offers and what kind of cooperation you are looking for.
4. Follow up systematically
Not every company replies to the first message. One or two professional follow-ups are often more useful than sending a new long message. Track who was contacted, when and what was agreed.
5. If email is not enough, change channel thoughtfully
In some cases finding the right contact person or making local outreach can help. The purpose is not to pressure anyone, but to route a legitimate request to the right person through an appropriate channel.
