Do not compare unit price alone
The total sourcing picture also includes MOQ, tooling costs, samples, lead time, logistics, payment terms, change management and how easy the supplier is to work with.
The first step can be small
You do not need to “open” the market as one large project. A focused supplier or market assessment is often a better start, after which the company can decide whether Taiwan is worth exploring further.
