Short visits

As of BOCA's 17 July 2026 update, Finnish nationals are included in Taiwan's visa-exempt programme for stays of up to 90 days. A passport generally needs at least six months of remaining validity at entry, and travellers need a confirmed return or onward ticket. Visa-exempt stays are normally not extendable. The NIA online Taiwan Arrival Card should be completed within the seven days before arrival.

🎓

Study

The correct residence path depends on the programme and duration. Foreign students use NIA processes for ARC applications and extensions where applicable.
